This first time mom is just curious what your LO's are eating. Are they eating what you are eating? I've been seeing that some are, but I'm not sure how that works. We will give her bread, some rice, or cut up pasta if we are having that with dinner, but most meals she just gets Gerber pureed food (and puffs, yogurt melts, rice rusks, other baby snacks). What else should I be introducing her to? Even cheerios seem too hard for me but my friends swear they are OK!
Re: Eating what you are eating?
I would like DD to eat what we eat, but she seems to have some food sensitivities. Also, that is not always practical. Last night we had cumin roasted pork tenderloin. Tonight we are having BBQ ribs. Friday we are having enchiladas. These are not for babies.
)
Her meals involve a pureed food, a raw fruit or steamed veggie as finger food, and some kind of whole grain, be it puffs, rice crackers, pasta, etc.
Howis any of that not baby appropriate? Amir has all of that.
Why not for babies? Are you just worried about the spices? Emilie has had spices from the beginning, and eats what we eat, even if it's slightly spicy. She eats anything and hasn't had any reactions so I am not concerned.
we started cherios this week and she eats some of my food from time to time, but she's still not a huge fan of purees.
she loves fresh fruit though. pears, peaches, bananas...

Emery eats all of these things, too. If I feel like the food is TOO spicy or salty (which it usually isn't, since I cook at home I can keep salt content low), I may rinse off some of it for him a bit.
Today Emery had sliced bananas, raisons, grapes peeled and quartered. Blackberries and yogurt. Bread with my moms grapefruit jelly. We stopped by Arbys on the way home from the pool so he had a few bites of roast beef (I typically don't give him fast food) but then shared a bowl of oatmeal with me later, because this mama needed oatmeal at 6 oclock tonight!
Last night he had homemade beef and bean chili. On Friday we had a brunch and he had quinoa salad, watermelon, quiche, donuts, blueberry muffins...
He eats everything.
