I hate pushy people

My pt job is for the local Jewish community organization.  It's a secular organization, but we have lots of connections to the synagogues in town.  From the minute I was hired pretty much, the rabbi of the one synagogue has tried to "recruit" me and DH to join.  We actually want to join now that they've changed their policies (they used to be orthodox - not a good match for an interfaith couple, but now they're conservative), and I've even filled out the paperwork for joining.  DH mentioned that to the rabbi once a few weeks ago.  I asked him last night who I give the paperwork to.  He doesn't need to recruit/push us, we're already planning on joining!  But still he's getting people from the membership committee to call me and try to sell me on joining.  Honestly, it almost makes me want to not join after all.  If we didn't have this baby coming, I probably would hold off a while longer till he leaves us alone!
