Beach Trip

I have yet to go to the beach with M so was wondering what I need to bring. I was thinking of ordering the shade shack from Amazon.  Then I remember someone here saying baby powder for the sand.  Sunblock, hat, towel, face stick sunblock..what else?

    We brought the baby to the beach for the first time.  i bring our diaper bag, with all the essentials (wipes, diapers etc) so for "extras" I'd add toys to that list, extra clothes, a sweatshirt, sunglasses....hmm...here's a pic of DS this weekend.  He kept trying to eat the sand.  Ick!  ETA - swim diaper?
