Sitting up

So LO has learned to sit up by himself (which is awesome and so cute!). However, now I am super paranoid about him sitting up in his crib and falling over and smacking his head on the side of the crib. Should I be using bumpers?

(Also, can anyone help on making my signature pic smaller? It is super annoying.)

To be honest it doesn't happen as often as you would think. I use bumpers but they don't totally prevent Porter from bumping his head. As LO gets stronger the chances get smaller

Benjamin isn't sitting on his own yet but he moves around so much that his head gets bumped a lot. And I cannot bring myself to use bumpers, so we have the mesh ones instead. Just hoping it won't happen TOO much once he learns to bring himself to a seated position. He does crunches right now but doesn't know to go to the side and push up yet.

DD is a good sitter upper, but has fallen off the couch and also bonked her head on the metal jumperoo bars when toppling over on the floor. She didn't cry either time and doesn't seem any worse for the wear. They are eventually going to hit their heads on things, as long as they aren't falling too far I think it's ok to keep the bumpers off the crib.

Lo1 still bonks her head on the crib... She's fine. Lol
