Re: brag about your dc...

  • DD gives real kisses now -- pucker, kissing noise, and all. It's so adorable. If you ask her for a kiss she'll lean in and give you one (she even did it for Grandma over the phone), and she walks around kissing her toys, her shoes, the floor ... :)

  • My Molly took four steps by herself yesterday. It was so awesome. My H cried :-) Lilly has been extra silly lately and will shake her booty any time there is music!

  • Well, I am going to TOTALLY brag because it seems like my little Paige has become a Toddler overnight. In the last 2-3 months she has learned to walk well even with her shoes on, she can climb off the couch (can't wait till she can climb on!...lol)  She goes up and down stairs like a pro!  She uses her spoon and fork if we load them and in the last few days she has learned to blow her nose with force!  LOVE IT!  I love this learning phase!  Now if only we could get her to learn some WORDS instead of screaming and grunting!

  • I feel like I'm bragging about her all the time, but since you askedEmbarrassed ... She also just learned to give "real" kisses, not the scary open-mouth ones. She always gives a Valley Girl sideways hug and pats your back after every kiss. She says bless you anytime you sneeze/cough. She tells me every time she poops or farts (uh, thanks Dana, I'll alert the media about your latest fart). And she knows the difference between an earring, necklace, bracelet and ring - what a fashionista!

  • ds probably says 100 words and knows really what they mean. ?He is even putting sentences together now. ?He can name and point to his hair, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, eyes, toes, legs, knees, arm, elbow, toosh, fingers.
  • my dd's new thing is to tell me that she loves me and gives me a giant hug, this is not out of her personality but she does this almost every 1/2 hr.
  • DD told everyone thank you today when we were shopping and out to eat.  So cute.  She is starting to make animal noises and point to body parts.  YAY
  • DD likes to sing songs now, her newest is 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, I sing the first few lines and then she says "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" and she says it so clear!! It is too cute!!

  • DD is starting to say so many things. She is up to about 15 words & seems to be picking up things we say so easily, I get so excited when I hear her say another word!! Now we really have to watch what we say!

She is also starting to do the hand motions to songs we sing & point to a  few body parts.

  • DD knows her colors, and she tries to read her books by herself (she has this Old McDonald book..and she says, "Old McDonald had farm..eieio..had a cow..with a moo moo..eieio.  It's soo cute).  She also sings songs to herself when she thinks we aren't listening.  The other day she sang the ABC song..she missed letters and jumbled them together..but it was awesome to hear.  Oh, and she counts to 13.  Okay, enough AWing.
  • I love that DS is in such a learning phase. ?It seems like he says a new word every day now! ?It's really cute that I can ask him "where's your milk" and he actually looks around the room for his sippy cup. ?

Oh, and I love how fast he can run. ?It cracks me up that his little knees don't really bend like a running adult so he kind of gallops. ?SO CUTE! ?

  • 1. He gets out of bed and comes to me in the morning (at 7:30 or so, pretty reasonable) with a plastic cup and saucer (empty usually, or if he had a cup of water by his bed he'll fill it from that) and says "you wanna cuppa tea mama?"

?2. He says "I wuv you mama" spontaneously a lot.

    3. He cuddles up in bed when we're travelling and puts his feet on my knees to warm them up (can't complain his feet are never that cold).

    4. He dresses up in my hats and DH's or my shoes and his raincoat and says "I'm a scarecrow. Take a picture of me please?"

    5. He sings to himself while he plays.

    6. He says "you need more dinner? yes I think so!" (and hands me his most prized choice from his plate, like a chip or a blueberry). He isn't offloading what he doesn't like, he really is giving what he most wants and he won't take it back (though he can usually be convinced to do a swap with a chip from my plate).

    7. He worries about kids who are sad at childcare and talks about them all the way home.

    8. When he has woken with a bad dream a couple of times he will call out as he's waking up "Nooooo, that MY cookie!" or similar. I don't know why but it makes me feel good if his bad dreams are only about cookies.?

  • When I say "Let's go bye byes" he goes and grabs his coat and shoes, sits down and puts his shoes on top of his feet. haha it cracks me up but at the same time amazes me that he already knows where his shoes go and that he needs them to go bye byes.
  • okay, I'm gonna keep it to one thing.

last night she was totally cracking me up. She has a little people cow and she moos at it! She can't say cow yet, but she knows it moos.

The dog's stocking has a dog on it, and she woofed at it.

    oh, blast that was two!
