Happy Father's Day to me!

Happy Father's Day to me and all the other single moms playing both roles in their kid's life! You all rock!

Okay and a token happy Father's Day to my oldest son's dad who didn't blink when I dropped him off wet, dirty, and starving...and apparently in the process of pooping...after my mom's bday party yesterday. I really, really didn't do it in purpose. But it was funny.

And for BD of my younger son...dude, you suck! And you probably don't realize you have less than 24 hrs to serve me or I get default child support with no input from you. Ha!

    had a friend txt me today "happy fathers day to you" 

    I was confused and didn't know whether to get mad or smile... It seemed a little inconsiderate being this is our first 'fathers' day.. I never txt back still not knowing what to say

    It's a little offensive coming from someone who has the perfect little family, gets to be a SAHM and do whatever she wants ya know?

    Well I'm sure she meant well. Nobody's life is as perfect as it looks, even when they tell you it is so I'd just say thanks for thinking of you and leave it at that. Today's a weirdly happy day for me because even though it was a bit of a shock last Father's Day is when I found out I was pregnant. My dad is dead so it was just LO, me, and the laundry today. No one wished me a happy Father's Day!

    I don't think she meant to offend you. I think it was more of a 'high five' for taking on both roles amazingly well.

    Yeah, look at it this way... Any woman can be a mother, but it takes real badasses like us to take on the role of both mom & dad.  I hope you guys pampered yourselves as much as I did!

    Previously I have emailed BD and told him Happy Father's Day, but I refused to do so this year. I do feel little twinges of guilt for being so bitchy, but he has yet to BE a father. He has been trying really hard to get back to our previous friendly status, but I dont get his motives, because his priority is NOT parenting.
