Standing in the Tub

Elijah has started using the edge of the tub to pull himself up during bath time. I have tried putting my arms there to block him, but then he just pulls up on me. I grab him every time and put him back on his bottom, but he just keeps pulling up again. After about three or four times we just take him out of the bath.

Does anyone else have this problem? What are you doing about it?

    Not yet... interested to see what others say.  Currently she is fascinated by the faucet and the drain.

    Yup LO is trying to do this. I just try to distract him with different toys and splashing water, and cut bathtime short if necessary!

    Yes we have this problem too and I have not found a solution, Ashley also does this in her crib when it's time to sleep.

    I use bath seats, which keep them seated and allow us to bathe them at the same time.
    D & R were born at 37w5d.

    You guys have an inflatable tub in there? They can't pull up on it because its squishy!

    Yeah, I tried that. He has no interest he just wants to stand up and smack the side of the tub. The only thing that works is turning the faucet on and letting him play with that water, but we can only run the water for so long.

    I just looked at a couple on Amazon and looks to me like he would be able to reach over the inflatable tub to grab the bath tub.
