DH Job issues

The restaurant DH worked for closed last Monday with no notice. This past week has had DH and myself looking for new opportunities for him with no bites yet.

I know it can take awhile. And I know we will make do. But I feel stressed and yesterday I broke into tears worrying about it. Which DH then took to mean that he has failed in some way. Not what I meant to happen which made me feel worse. Just not really what we need with LO here in less than 2 months.

    I'm so sorry to hear that. Hang in there I know it's not easy. The job market is definitely tough right now but if he keeps at it I'm sure something will come up. My DH has been out of work for the last four months and its been rough but he has really started looking at EVERYTHING and finally finding some options. You jus have to be willing to make any job work, even if its not what he wants to do or in his field...just anything! At least that's what I've been telling my DH:)

    Im sorry you are going through this. I would remind your DH that youre not upset with him, youre upset for him.  Tell him that you will make it through it together and that its not his fault. He will probably still feel responsible but if it were me, I would want my husband to express that he understands it wasnt my fault and that he supports me.

    This happened to my DH last year 2 months before our wedding... We nearly cancelled the wedding because of it. All you can do is be supportive. My DH went into a really depressed state for a while because of it, but over all it made us stronger making it through that.
    I know it doesn't help to hear, but you guys will make it thru and things will be okay! Sending good thoughts and wishes your way!!

    Thank you for all your well wishes. The one thing we do have working in our favor is that DH is totally willing to take any work. Hopefully something will work out soon.

    DH has been without a job for a little over a month due to the type of work he does.... He has been trying to find something that will pay the bills even if its not what he went to school for. Hopefully your DH will have MUCH better luck with job hunting!! Good luck!

    Im so sorry to hear about this. My DH is out of work too and has been since March. Hopefully this will give you some hope, my good friends husband manages a restaurant and quit.....she was livid. He found a new position in 2 weeks while my DH is still looking. 

    Hopefully with him working in the food industry it will make things easy.

    We are pretty much in the same boat. My husband unexpectedly got fired from his job 2 weeks ago for a very stupid reason. And now he might not get unemployment because of it. Our insurance is out and we're kinda lost at what to do next. I've been a stay at home mom for 2 years now and with being pregnant and so long without a job, I don't see anyone employing me.

    All I can say is to do what my husband and I have been doing. Praying like crazy and applying to as many positions as possible.

    I really hope things work out for you guys and that another job comes along real soon.
