Stabbing pain...

OK, I just started getting this stabbing pain directly under my boobs. Dead center of my body, I know it isn't the baby or round ligament pain because it is way to high on my abdomen. Only hurts when I walk around bend over or take a deep breath. Anyone else experiencing this? I put a call into my doctor, but the nurses seem to think its nothing, maybe just heartburn.... All I've been drinking is water and I havent eaten anything yet today...

    Sounds like heartburn. I've heard of water being a really bad offender, ironically enough. Try some pepcid or papaya enzyme tablets.

    I have gotten heartburn from water before. Try some antacids.

    I had this exact thing happen to me last weekend. I finally caved and bought some Zantac. Not real sure if that helped but I woke up the next morning and it was completely gone!

    One of my worst heartburn days was when I waited too long to eat. I had it all day long. I wasn't hungry, but I learned my lesson...I eat when I get up regardless!

    I get heartburn if I let my stomach get too empty. I would try and eat something and take some Tums.

    I took some tums and it seems to be helping a little bit... the pain is still there, but not as bad. Thank you everyone!

    I've also heard that if you drink while you eat it can cause it.  I realize you hadn't eaten yet today, but for future reference.  Also, I second the papaya enzyme tablets.  They work fast and are effective, at least for me.  Hope you feel better soon!

    I get this same stabbing pain on and off. People keep saying heartburn and I keep rebelling, because it just doesn't feel like heartburn. It only hurts when I get my lungs fully expanded. Feels like someone pinching me really hard, or like the stitch in your side when you run too much.
    I'm sure I'm wrong and it's probably heartburn. Either way, it's been happening to me for years and never seems to harm me, so I wouldn't worry about it.

    Sounds like it might be the culprit. Hope things got figured out for you, and you feel better.

    God gave me a double portion for my inheritance with my little Mighty men :) 9/19/10 Baby A born at 1:47 am 6lbs 14oz, 20.5inches long. Baby B born at 3:20 am 6lbs 6oz, 19.5inches long. My double blessing!:)
