DH referred to today as his "first Father's Day".. I corrected him, and said it's not your first.. he then said, "It's the first one where other people recognized me"... my heart hurt for him..
I made the distinction to people that it may be his first "official" Father's Day, but it's by far not his first Father's Day. He became a father 3 years ago when I first got pregnant.
I agree it does suck. We each got two cards on those days. One from each of our DDs. It is very hard to find an appropriate card for a mom/dad from an angel baby.
