Okay ladies - having a BM has become quite the production and I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this kind of thing during their pregnancy. I have a Dr.'s appt on Wednesday so I will certainly go over this then as well but . . .
With DS I was constipated, I went every 2 days and they were always hard as rocks and large. No matter what I did, I spent quite a bit of uncomfortable time in the bathroom.
Currently with the twins - it goes in cycles: I have 2 days where I feel good with no urge to go at all, on day 3 I'm super gassy all day but still no poo, and then on day 4 I'm really sore and achy all day and then at the end of the day - usually just after dinner - it becomes an emergency and I run to the bathroom and poo (a s**tload lol.) with no trouble at all. I eat lots of fiber, my favorite snacks are trail mix with raisins, grapes and watermelon and I'm not actually having any trouble going it's just taking soooo long to move through my system. Is this common?
Re: pooping while pregnant . . . . (TMI)
Hope you feel better soon!!
ETA: I just read your post again and realized I misinterpreted things. I don't have any great advice, but I know that some slowness is fairly normal.

For me, BMs have been different in each trimester.
First tri I was horribly constipated but I know that was due to the Zofran. It didn't matter how much water I drank and how much colace I took either, nothing helped.
Second tri after I was off of Zofran was much more like what you are describing with several days between BMs w/o constipation (no aches though). This is also much like my pre-pregnancy schedule.
Third tri I am having very large BMs every day w/o any issues other than the odor which is really horrid.
I can't explain the change between second and third tris. My diet has been the same this entire pregnancy and there weren't any medication changes.
*big hugs* I remember these days
Colace was magical, until it started leading to explosions from the back up. lol. I stopped taking a prenatal with iron in it, and took a reg childrens vitamin, and then a separate iron one every 2-3 days, to help the ...flow of things. The OB said it was ok. Hope things get moving for you soon.

Thanks Ladies! I'm drinking a ton of water already, but I am taking iron every other day in addition to my prenatals. I'm going to ask tomorrow at my appt., i'm not having trouble going it's just taking a very long time and I'm getting uncomfortably backed up so maybe Miralax would be my best bet just to get things moving a little more.
At least I know I'm not alone!
Oh man! I'm sorry to hear this! I hope you can find some relief soon!
