Putting this up a little early since I often can't get to my desktop to post it in the mornings.

Before I get going I just wanted to send out a group hug. It seems like more of us than not have challenging issues we're facing in our quest to procreate. This month is a tough one for us, but to see us pushing through...keeping on trying and making appointments that all at once scare us and bring us hope. I'm proud of you guys. OK, enough mushy stuff...

Saritaota614 6/11 ~ I truly hope that the apt that you made brings you some answers. Your chart has to be so frustrating to you. I see that spotting has started in again. Ugh. I hope whatever is going to happen (be it O or an annovulatory cycle), makes up its mind soon for you. Any chance that appt could get moved up?

Best of luck in the 2WW! Extra hugs this week as you approach your EDD. I know you are a year out, but those dates are still hard.

This spotting is Driving me nuts!! It is not heavy enough to mark as flow, doesn't warrant a tampon.

I called last week to see about moving it up and they moved it to July 22. I guess that is better. I may call again in a couple days and see if they can move it again.

QOTW: dh and I are both the youngest of 2. Siblings are separated by 8 years. Kind of weird.

HelloSweetie1 6/21 ~ First of all, you are on my mind this week and I'm sending you hugs for your EDD on Friday. You mention having an appt regarding the endo...when is it?

Thanks for the hugs Friday is going to be hard, but fortunately we will be busy with our 6 year olds Sports Day at school, so DH and I won't have much time to dwell on things. I honestly don't even know if DH realizes that would have been our due date, and I don't really have the heart to remind him. We don't talk about it much, but I can tell that he really wants another kid, and it kills me that it's not working out more easily for us. I regret waiting so long to try for a 2nd, but for a long time we thought DS was enough, and we'd be happy with one. It makes me sad that I now feel like something is missing from our family.

About my appointment.... remember GScoville saying her doc up and left? Well I live in the same town, and my doctor is picking up the patients that were abandoned. Some of them are urgent, and take priority, so it looks like I won't be getting in until later this summer. I completely understand though, and I really don't want a surgical treatment if I can help it, because that will mean time off from TTC. I'm so hoping I get pregnant this month! I do have to see the doc at some point though, because I am now having sciatic pain, so I know the endo has spread... grrrr.

QOTW: I'm the oldest of two kids. My brother and I 22 months apart, and are super close. We are very similar though, so it's easy to get along. DH is the youngest of 3 children, and has 2 older sisters. He gets along well with them, but I wouldn't say he's as close as my brother and I. Growing up his sisters were best friends and he was the "odd man out". Now those two fight and disagree, and poor DH is the peacekeeper.

Quick update on me since I have to run. I'll try and respond to you guys later. Busy day.

I'm at CD11. Should be gearing to O, but my temps have been wonky the last two days, probably due to sleep issues. OPKs say one thing (neg) and temps suggest another (they usually dip like this around O for me). O has been on CD12 or so the last 3 cycles (CD12-16 is my range since the loss), so it should be coming. Please feel free to take a peek at my chart and share in my crazy, lol.

DH still hasn't given his SA sample...and with this being FW and my having heard he needed a day or two to recoup before his sample...I'm not sure he will get to give that this week. Which means most likely I'm going to have to reschedule my RE apt that is June 25. Frustrating, and I wish so badly that I could slip one of you ladies waiting on an apt in there, but at least having to reschedule is for a good cause, right?

ETA my answer to the QOTW: I'm the oldest of 3 and only girl. DH is the baby of his family, youngest of 4 kids (GGBB). I'm 18m older than 1 brother and 6 years older than the other (mom had a m/c in between the bros). DHs family is very close in age. All of his older siblings are about a year apart and he's 15m younger than his big brother.

I'm so glad you were able to bump up the appt. Hopefully with more calls you can get it in sooner. The spotting would make me crazy as well. I've had cycles with a lot of spotting (heck I had 6 months of it when I had fibroid issues) and it made me want to scream.

That's cool that you guys both have the same age gap with your sibs!

Thanks for the extra hugs! And can I just give you some extra hugs too, Junebug. You're dealing with a bunch of stuff on your plate too with the testing and DH's imminent deployment and still doing so much to look after the rest of us. It's wonderful and inspiring and I just appreciate you so much. Also, how was Point Loma? If you posted about it I must have missed it. I hope it was a healing way to observe your EDD. Also also, I love that quote from the velveteen rabbit. It made me tear up at my desk.
I've been thinking about all of you this month. WoaC, have you started the new job with the horses? How's that going? Saritaota and jbasore I hope you both get some answers soon and a plan forward. Big hugs HelloSweetie, I hope Friday treats you kindly.
My update - I'm just waiting. I'm 5 DPO and have only the tiniest bit of optimism for a BFP this cycle, due to only one BD in the FW and DH's 30% motility. I bought a new yoga outfit yesterday and I had no twinge of "what if I can't wear this because I'm pregnant?" I'm just doing a lot of yoga and mountain biking, being happy with life the way it is.
QOTW - DH and I both come from families with a first male sibling, several year hiatus, then a female sibling. He's the older, I'm the younger, of course. I wonder if that's part of why we feel comfortable with each other, because sharing a house in that age/gender setup feels familiar?

DS mentioned

Point Loma was a nice change of pace. I didn't have time to sit and reflect there since I had DS with me and he must.go.all.the.time! I was glad to do something I'd been wanting to do though. I'd have gone nuts sitting around the house overthinking things. I'm trying not to think too much about the deployment. Kind of just want to get it over with, to tell you the truth. Having it loom over our heads sucks. I'm nervous about this cycle or next taking since he'll be gone come delivery time...but we're going for it anyways. I'll figure out a way to cope. I'd rather have that short term issue than the long term one of missing our chance to give DS a sibling.

Sometimes one shot is all it takes, my DS is an example of that. I didn't think that cycle had much chance either. I really like your attitude of being happy with life as it is. I needed that reminder. Thank you!

That would be so frustrating that your doc had to take on all that extra. I get that sometimes *** happens, but still. Sorry to hear about the sciatic pain. I've never had that, but I've heard awful things about it. I really don't know much about endo, but I hope you are able to avoid surgery.

Sorry I missed out on last week's check in - I was having my first day at work, and didn't even get to my computer until late that night. I LOVE my job - I'm excited to go to work every day!

Sending extra hugs to everyone who needs them this week!!

I didn't start this cycle with charting, because my previous cycle was all FUBAR, and I figured I'd just wait to see what happens. Yesterday and today I've had copious amounts of very thin CM, so I'm hopeful that O is happening on time.

I have an appointment with our doctor on Thursday so she can check my business end for signs of ovulation (I'm not sure what that entails, but I'll be prepared for anything), and I get to hang out with "jap618" sometime this week - I haven't seen her since January, so this is super exciting for me!!

QOTW: I have a half brother who is 7 years older than me, and my husband is the second oldest of 5. His older sister is exactly 2 years older to the day, and then his younger sibs are 5, 7, and 10 years younger. Also, my husband is 8 and a half years younger than I am. Meow. Wink

I completely understand taking a cycle off from charting. I haven't done it since this last loss, but there was a cycle we had no shot that I skipped temping after O and it was so nice. Your business end comment made me chuckle. O signs she could be looking for could include things like cervical mucus and cervical position. Both are pretty good indicators of O.

The weekend went better than I thought it would be. Like I expected, no one IRL acknowledged the date, even though a few people knew about it. Oh well, I guess Kim Kardashian needed the date more than me, lol. And the reunion went well. There was one very obviously pregnant woman there so I got a little jealous. We only got a couple "do you have any kids?" or "When do you plan on having kids?" questions, thankfully.

Trying to decide whether or not to try this cycle. Wish we knew what type of egg I will be ovulating, that would make it a whole lot easier to decide! I'm on CD 7 and will probably ovulate on CD12 so we need to get with it quick!

I responded to your appt stuff in the other post you did. It sounds like you guys have a lot of things to think about. I'm glad the numbers they gave you and the insurance stuff is better than you thought.

I feel you with the 'will it be a good egg or a bad one' thing. As an AMA'er I worry about that each cycle. I wish there was a stick we could pee on to get the answer, lol.

I'll get after that DH of mine, lol. Hopefully I ovulate between now and weds and then he can get in there and get his business done. If he needs to wait a couple days though, and if they have a lag and getting us results (and lets face it, it's the Navy so there probably is a lag), than my apt will be a no-go for Tues. Ideally I can bump it back to later in the same week or the first few days of July. Once I know when O is, I should know roughly when CD3 is in case they want that bloodwork.
