I'm still pregnant...and a WWYD

Mobile bump:  I'm still pregnant...and a WWYD

::sigh::

41w1d, and things are getting much more uncomfortable than I'd hoped for.  But at least I'm still getting around fairly well.  I have a non stress test today, and my doctor has me scheduled for an induction at the end of the week.

 Here's the question:  He gave me the option of either Thursday or Friday to induce.  On Thursday the doctor on hospital rounds is the only doctor in their practice that I've never seen, so I don't know anything about him.  On Friday is one of the doctors that I do know pretty well, but she makes me a little nervous.  She has always seemed a little rushed and frazzled during my check-ups, so I guess you could say that she doesn't put me at ease.

So, WWYD?  Go with the unknown doctor?  Or go with the doctor that I actually know, but has made me a little nervous in the past?

ETA:  My doctor that I see regularly broke his foot, and is getting around on a scooter.  So he is not doing any deliveries right now, which is why he's not an option.

  • I'm sorry you're still pregnant!

    I would choose the unknown doc over one that makes me nervous.

  • Wow, can't imagine still being pregnant. I would go with the unknown doctor. I wouldn't be comfortable with the other one, especially if she already makes you feel nervous!

  • I'm sorry this LO is still keeping you waiting.

    I agree with everyone else: I'd rather go with a Dr I don't know and who may or may not be great, than go with one who I know for a fact will make me nervous.

  • Did you tell your regular doc the woman doc.gives you trepidation? I think I would go with the stranger, too, like everyone else said. How crummy your options are a stranger or someone who gives you a bad vibe. : You're a trooper for making it this long, though !

    If you haven't had the NST yet today, can you ask to see/meet the other doctor while you're there? Either way, I would go for Thursday if I were you.

    Now, let me speak to your baby. GET OUT HERE ALREADY!

  • Also? depending what you end up choosing and how long your labour is, you might end up with a solstice baby - how cool is that!

  • I'd go with the absolute latest possible induction.  Hopefully baby comes before then anyway, good luck!!

  • Hopefully baby will come on it's own before then!

    I would choose the doctor that I don't know, at least there is a chance of liking him.
