I know "my" is an adjective technically, but it is sort of functionally similar to pronouns in that it is a word that can move from one person to another nonspecifically, and so cognitively it's sort of similar in concept...if you understand what I mean.
I'm wondering, then, if you would consider the use of "my" as "pronoun" use. My daughter today said "My banana," and when I asked her if she said "my," she repeated the word and put her hands on her chest, so I am sure that's what she meant.
I haven't yet heard her use real pronouns, but just wondering what you guys think.
