so we were at in laws having family bbq w aunts, uncles, and so on and my son was fussy bc he didn't get his nap in before we got there. That brought on a conversation amongst the elders about punishment and spanking/hitting and such. I voiced how I am against that type of discipline for my son and boy did that cause ruckus. So tired of people trying to tell me what the heck to do and if ANYONE lays a hand on my son ever, they will be in BIG trouble!
Also love how everyone kept taking my son from me everytime he started fussing. Had to finally put my foot down to get some damn respect. Like anyone knows more than I do whats best for my kid. Sorry long vent. Preggo, hormonal and protective mama over here not to mention Hubby being a bleep as well taking everyone elses side as usual.

I am glad you put your foot down. If they don't care about your feelings why should you care about theirs? Your kid your rules!
You need to have a talk with your husband about how he needs to stand up for you and the kids.
