August 2012 Moms

UGH!

I took Jack to the pedi this morning because hes had a rash on his chest and arm pit I thought it was eczema but nothing I put on it seems to make it look any better and he has been itching at it like crazy lately.

Well she thinks that it might be  SCABIES! WTF! She referred us to a dermatologist but she's guessing that's what it is.  I can't for the life of me figure out where he would have gotten it ... except daycare.

If you want to have nightmares and get the heebie geebies google that sh/t and look at a picture of the nasty creature.

Its something fairly easy to cure  just a cream and a crap load of laundry to do. I'm praying that's not what it is though because I'll be dreading telling daycare  that they are going to have to disinfect their whole house and tell all the other kids parents that they should probably be treated too.

  • That ish is crazy!! I hope it's not. Poor baby....and momma.

Can we get a vax for these diseases?! Everyone coming down with HFM and now scabies.....I'm going to dread sensing Amir to daycare. Whenever that is.

  • My mom had scabies once. Everyone in the house had to be treated for it. Good times. Good times.

  • Can you get a second opinion?  A friend of mine's daughter was mis-diagnosed with scabies when she was just a few months old.  It turned out to be excema but only after she was prescribed the cream and saw some icky side effects were possible and decided to seek out another professionals opinion.

    Just food for thought!

yes i'm going to meet with the dermatologist tomorrow at 10 we'll see what he thinks. I have a hard time believing its scabies  because DH and I have no symptoms I would think my now we would have a few itchy spots too.
