Moldy Cheerio??

My son loves Cheerios as a snack, I gave him a handful this morning and saw a broken one that looked blackened/moldy! I took that one right away and called General Mills. She advised not to finish the box, but he has eaten all but a 1/4 of it. Now, I am having a FTM freak out moment thinking that the whole box was contaminated or something. 

Advice??

    It is my understanding that most mold won't actually make you sick. The germs of food born illness don't tend to have and taste or color and the ones that affect taste are different.

    Also, if it was going to make you sick, you'd be sick within six hours. That said, YUCK!! I would feel so violated!

    I think k that's more likely. Cherrios are super dry so mold is highly un likely.
