I'm a FTM. But is anyone else sick of these comments from other women? They seem to think that because they experienced something that it will be like that for everyone else.
First it was the morning sickness, which I luckily never got.
Plus a lot of people are trying to tell me how labor & delivery will be, but I'm having a home birth so it will be completely different!
Re: "You will, because I did."
January siggy challenge
STM, and I am sick of hearing "well, you won't be able to do that when you have TWO kids". Ok, so I like to make cupcakes on random occasions because DS1 likes to help in the kitchen and then he takes them to school. And, yes, I totally overplan every detail of every one of his birthday parties. It's just what I do. And, I plan on doing every bit of it when DS2 arrives. You don't have to become a slug of a mother just because you have two kids. Shut the f up.
Let me add, I mean the "slug of a mother" directly towards the women who have said these things to me (one of them being my sister). They were that way with one, and I don't judge them. Well, now I do, only because "they started it" ::insert whiny voice::.
YES! there were 3 of us pregnant at one time at my job, and I'm the only one who's had a pregnancy with complications. Since the other two had easy pregnancies (I'll be the last one to deliver) they assume I'm just being a baby. Severe bleeding that landed me in the ER, the threat of a miscarriage and now shortness of breath and pain in the left side of my chest are all very serious complications. It drives me crazy!
I get this from my mom ALL the time! Im the same way with DS1's birthday parties! Im SO tired of hearing about things I wont be able to do with or for DS1 because im have DS2. drives me NUTS.
Oh God... it's already kinda started from people who don't know how to raise they own kids.
yep
listen with a filtered ear to the good stuff, and closed ear to the stuff that is meant to intimidate. Your experience might be similar to others, but will still be uniquely yours
Congratulations on being a FTM
