XP: Anyone's DS have penile surgery?

I also posted this on SAHM board, but I know this is an age that a lot of boys have corrective surgery if they need it. So long story short, my OB circ'ed DS and botched it.  I hate her!  But they did find that he has a penile curvature that should probably be corrected.  I guess a blessing in disguise?  They are doing both (re-circ and corrective surgery) at the same time and it's a short surgery.  But they have to put him under anesthesia.  I'm really scared about that, but also really scared they have to do surgery on his penis.  I got a second opinion and both docs said the same thing. :(I'm just looking for reassurance and maybe some advice from anyone else who has gone through this.  Thanks!

    My friend's son had to have this surgery and he was put under anesthesia. He was about 9 months old when they did the surgery. He is perfect now and had no lasting effects of the anesthesia. He slept most of the day when he went home and his circumcision healed all over again. Don't worry too much!!! Plus, he is still so little, he will never remember it! Good Luck!

    We're actually doing this tomorrow.. it was discovered when my LO went to have it done as a newborn that he had mild hypospadias. I am scared too but now it is a principle of correcting it (since he was already cut before they stopped the circ). I can reply again after tomorrow and let you know about our experience. I am already a wreck because of the food/drink restrictions before surgery and my LO is already a small guy. :(

    My 7 month old is having his circ redone....I'm a wreck as well. It's a normal feeling ESP having your baby put under. But they do it b/c they move a lot, and its like a 15 min procedure. he was 3 weeks premature and only. Weighed 4.13 they didn't take enough off and he has scar tissue around it which is making his pee hole point down. We are having it done at Boston's childrens hospital...best in the world...so I have no fear that it won't be a success.
