BM #2 No Hope for her. *eye roll*

Let me start by saying Happy Father's Day to the Stand up Dads or Even Mom's playing both rolls... bio or not in each case!

 

BM called and left a VM about getting SD's for week of 4th of July for "her part of summer break" She makes me LOL. That is her holiday week this year anyways. and BM is entitled to half of the summer.. just the thought of that makes me cringe. DH will definitely NOT be volunteering that info.

BM can't handle SD's for more than a few hours and she wants a week. We will plan for this even though BM will probably back out like she does on all of her other PT (not complaining at all... We want them safe). So we will also have a backup plan that includes SD's like we always do. 

DH and I were really hoping for a court date before the 4th but I don't see it happening. Maybe if the counselors get involved things will move a bit faster.

    Sometimes I swear we could be twinsies! BM gets SD 2 full weeks over the summer but usually only takes 1 of them and we STILL end up with SD for half of it. We get calls that she wants to come home for dinner, or wants to spend the night with us, or BM has something else to do and needs us to watch her.

    I know right! I'm pretty sure in this case BM will have someone on hand to watch SD's while she goes out to party, if she actually follows through. I am shocked when she does because it doesn't happen very often. BM always tells what she has planned for SD's even though DH told her it wasn't necessary and SD's never get to do any of it.

    I really feel bad for SD's because I know they miss BM but at the same time I'm glad BM can't handle SD's and sends them home early or doesn't want her weekends b/c we know they are safe. I know kids can have accidents anyplace.. even here.. but the things that have happened in the past with BM could have been prevented.

    I also feel bad for SD's because even though they are so young, when BM actually does care to spend a little time with them, SD's say they are surprised that she came and didn't lie like usual..  

    SD's cry and throw fits when getting ready to go with BM but when she gets here they are excited. They still think she won't show like she used to do to them every time. DH and I don't mention anything about it now until it is confirmed that she is about 10 minutes away from picking them up.
