AW: joining the Doppler club!

Even though my loss milestone was in week 8, it was a missed m/c and we didn't find out until week 10.  As that week has been getting closer, I've been feeling more and more anxious.  I've been out of town for the past eight days and did not take the Doppler with me as I did not want to be tempted to try and then not hear it for some reason.  Well, after nine hours in the car today on the last leg of our journey back, I ran into the house, finally opened the Doppler box (it's been sealed since September since we received it the day after my d&c #evilirony) and I found the heartbeat!  Would have sat there forever so I recorded it on my iPhone and have probably re-listened about 10 times.  Am actually looking forward to my u/s on Tuesday now!

    Me(32) + DH(32) TTC #1 since Dec 2011
    RE consult Dec 2012, diagnosed with lean PCOS (didn't see that coming!)  medicated cycles 1 - 4 = BFN
    cycle 5 - metformin, femara 7.5mg, IUI #1, progesterone = BFP!!!
    beta #1 (13dpiui) 37, beta #2 (15dpiui) 104, u/s at 6w5d hb of 115♥

    Thank you, it was a mission trip to navajoland.  Really enjoyed it except for the fact that's had to share a room the size of my closet with five other people who got to endure my raging all day and night  morning sickness.  Felt pretty sorry for them. And the fact that there was no hot water so I had to be a shower ninja, haha.  We did 2500 miles round trip and took several hikes through canyons, etc. and I survived!  Made me feel strong to see I could feel completely miserable and still make it through everything a-okay.

    Awesome, congrats! I know from last time my doppler doesn't pick anything up until 13-14 weeks lol

    YAYAYY! I'm so happy for you Kschref! You have been so supportive to everyone else when they feel down, I'm really happy you got some relief yourself as well after your stressful last couple of weeks. Smart idea recording it :) I have used it twice since last Wednesday, the first time alone and the second time so DH could hear the heartbeat and it is so special everytime to hear it I have to make sure not to do it too often! Very glad I only rented the doppler for a month!

    TTC since 01/13-Uterine Septum Surgery 12/12- During Surgery found Mod-Severe Endo which had left adhesions and attacked a tube. Very blessed to have found all this before TTC!

    The Doppler kept me sane last time. I'll be trying mine next week. I get it!

    Ummmmm, you're a superhero. I couldn't even get off the couch yesterday. Happy that you were able to hear a HB! Congrats!
