I have found that I am so greasy all the time during this pregnancy. I've tried a few different shampoos, but by the afternoon it looks as if I never washed my hair to begin with. The only thing that I've found that works is the cheap hotel sample shampoos and I'm quickly running out of my stash! Can you recommend something that works for you? TIA!

Agreed on this one - I use the antiresidue shampoo about 1x per week and it's great!

I know its expensive, but since I'm a hair stylist, I recommend switching to a professional shampoo, or at least rotating it in with your over the counter shampoos. Anything you can buy outside of a salon is going to be so full of wax and fillers, that those will build up on your hair, and cause the oils to lay on top of the waxy coat, instead of being absorbed into the hair shaft. This makes hair dry and brittle, and contributes to breakage. It also contributes to that grease slick you seem to be experiencing.
I would recommend finding a good clarifying shampoo if you want a product you can just rotate in twice a week. I use Kenra, its pink and smells like grapefruit! These types of shampoos should be used 1 to 2 times a week. If they are used daily, they can dry out the natural moisture barrier on each hair shaft, which will also cause hair to be dry and brittle. Cost Cutters in my area carries $12 liters, that would be the best bang for your buck. Otherwise Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two is a great one, and on the more cost friendly side.
Tea Tree shampoo balances the pH of the scalp, and calms dandruff and over-productive oil glands. Its a great one that the whole family can use, because it doesn't have a super feminine scent. It also gives the scalp a tingly sensation, which feels great!
If you are looking for a replacement shampoo, I'd stick with something moisturizing. This may seem counter productive, since you already have too much "moisture" in your hair from the excess oil. These products will balance the oil production from your scalp, while keeping hair moisturized and healthy.
I use one from the salon I go to, it's called Aveda black malva shampoo. It smells like black cherries and even though it's from a salon, it is still very affordable (about $30 for a 1 L bottle).
I started using it mainly because I have terrible allergies to most shampoos on the market (allergic to the preservatives, fragrances and other stuff), but this one doesn't have any of that crap in it and the fragrance is all natural so it doesn't cause allergic reactions for me. It also works great as a shampoo, my hair doesn't get greasy even if I'm feeling lazy and skip showering on a Saturday.
