so we were at in laws having family bbq w aunts, uncles, and so on and my son was fussy bc he didn't get his nap in before we got there. That brought on a conversation amongst the elders about punishment and spanking/hitting and such. I voiced how I am against that type of discipline for my son and boy did that cause ruckus. So tired of people trying to tell me what the heck to do and if ANYONE lays a hand on my son ever, they will be in BIG trouble!

Also love how everyone kept taking my son from me everytime he started fussing. Had to finally put my foot down to get some damn respect. Like anyone knows more than I do whats best for my kid. Sorry long vent. Preggo, hormonal and protective mama over here not to mention Hubby being a bleep as well taking everyone elses side as usual.

    I hate it when people think that they know more than you do about your child. That's one of my biggest pet peeves!!

    I am not against spanking if the need arises... But that doesn't work for every child and certainly doesn't work for very young children for the most part! I agree that every child is different and if you are able to teach your little one a lesson without ever having to spank them, then that is totally the way to go! Don't let them frustrate you! Just be proud that you have a very respectful and well mannered kiddo that never had to have a spanking to learn how to be that way!
