Single mother

I'm nineteen and having my first child. I'm beyond excited and can't wait to meet my little Rhiley. However the thought of being a single mother kinda scares me. I don't know how to get along with my baby daddy but still want him there for our child.

Might find more help on the Single Parents board. Pretty cool over there.

  • Not sure what you're wanting from us with this post. You definitely will have better luck on the single parents board.
  • It may not be easy to keep things friendly with the Baby's dad, but in time you will figure it out. It will be a lot of trial and error until you figure out what works best for both you and him when it concerns your little one. One thing that I think is important though... Never argue in front of your baby no matter how old. It makes the child feel as if they are responsible for it and some truly remember it forever even if it was when they were 1 or 2. As for being a single mom... Women do it every day and you can as well! Just always keep yours and your baby's needs first and foremost and you will be a fantastic single mom. Don't let other's rude remarks and such get you down because there will ALWAYS be the negative Nancy's out there! Good luck!
  • I was a single mother at 19. My son is now 14 and amazing. It takes a lot of support from family. Just take it one day at a time.
