Hiya ladies. I'm currently pregnant with baby #2, and found out today (well, it was confirmed for me) that I have diastasis recti (separated abdominal muscles).
I'm hoping to join you on this forum after I'm cleared for exercise, but in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on exercises to do to help. I won't be trying anything until at least 6 weeks, and hope that some of the gap closes by then.
Thanks in advance, and I'm looking forward to starting some real exercise.

GSx2 for T&B - EDD 6/21/2015 - They're having a GIRL!
Two of my friends were diagnosed with this. Post-partum, one is doing physical therapy (before she knew, she exacerbated the problem by doing tons of stomach crunches and other traditional exercises), the other is having surgery soon. I would suggest checking in with a physical therapist if that's possible for you.
I've got to have surgery to fix mine because if I want to get back to lifting at the level I was it's a matter of safety given how far apart my abs are spread - which sucks because the workouts I need to do to drop the weight go counter to what the darn separated abs will allow for. (let's face it, if you've got to go in for the procedure, why not have some weight dropped first!)
As the PP mentioned, for most women, it goes away naturally on its own. For some of us though the spread is so far apart that it'll never return to where we were pre-pregnancy and we're at a HUGE risk of a hernia (i.e. mesh repair) by not getting it fixed surgically, which basically means an "abdominoplasty" or aka: Tummy Tuck, which is as invasive of a procedure as one can have done without breaking the abdominal wall and insanely long recovery time (6 weeks to functional, 6mo to standing up straight again, 12mo back to normal function)... The good news is that if it's that far spread, it's covered by most insurance because it's no longer elective at that point.
Good luck! Here's hoping it returns to normal for you once baby arrives!
