How was his father's day? Do anything fun?

I made DH's day really special. I let him sleep in, made him breakfast and the girls fingerpainted some homemade cards. It's been a really sweet day.

Well, we're about to move in a couple weeks so DH could not completely be pampered! But I did let him sleep in even though it was his day to take the early shift. As I was cooking an egg for the LO, I threw an extra one in there for DH. And he got a card, so overall, not bad for him!

Every Sunday, my parents come over so we gave a card to my dad for being a great dad and a cool grand-dad!

Ours wasn't too bad. Hectic, but what else is new?! Bailey slept until 8:30 this morning, which is a pretty big deal. That was a nice treat. We went to the IL's for breakfast and hung out there until around noon. Came home so DD could nap, then went to my brothers to hang out with my fam for a while. I got the xbox live starter kit for DH so he can play his video game with real people. I think I've created a monster...

I did a handprint thing with the girls for his card. I dressed them in his golf shirts and took pictures of them with his golf clubs. I made a collage of those pictures that said dad's best golf buddies. I got DH the pocket hose that is on infomercials and I surprised him by dressing the girls in matching I love daddy shirts for church. He was very proud walking in with his two ladies! After church we went to breakfast with his fam then he played golf and we had his whole fam over for a nice BBQ. It was a great day.

My parents are in Colorado for their anniversary so I won't get to celebrate with my dad till next weekend

It was very nice, my inlaws came over in the afternoon then we went to dinner with my family at the bonefish grill and it was delish! Unfortunately I left all my cards/gifts at my sisters last night and she forgot to bring them with her to dinner, so he has not gotten his daddy day gift yet. I had a card made with Emma's pictures from CVS, an 8x10 collage picture of her holding the letters "D-A-D" and a mouse pad of the same for his desk at work. I know he will love it when he eventually gets it. I like the fingers painting idea, maybe we will do that this week.

I took DH and FIL to breakfast with LO since my MIL is out of town this weekend. We gave my FIL some vintage baseball cards as well as a card.

DH got a card from me and I ordered him a 49ers BBQ accessory set. Oh, and he got sex, so there's that!

Our day wasn't much different than any other Sunday. We did some stuff around the house. I had a nice conversation with my dad (he's 900 miles away). Watched a few movies and then...the AC went out. Fortunately my DH will be able to fix it (compressor motor is fried) but we won't have AC until tomorrow afternoon. DH said we should go shopping...I might just take him up on that offer. It's supposed to be 94 tomorrow.

Meh, it could have been better. It started off great. He fed Alice in bed with us and snuggled for a while. Then we got around and headed to his parents...where he got called into work for 2 hours. :[ He came back to his parents house and we hung out for another hour or so. Came home and he snuggled with The Girl for a bit and kept her occupied while I packed. Now we are just twiddling our thumbs till time to take us to the airport.

When h got off work at 7 this morning we went fishing with one of his coworkers family. It was fun, but really hot and Alexis didn't sleep well the night before so I was exhausted. Other than that it was fun. We did gifts yesterday because I got him some flavored coffee and cup with pictures and I wanted him to be able to use it this morning.

Ours was nice! I made a little photo flip book for DH. It had pictures of DD doing DH's typical duties... ex. eating the bills, wearing DH's work uniform, washing the car, etc. It had captions and basically said that today is Daddy's day, so I'll take care of all this stuff... haha. He loved it Smile

Our Sundays are almost always pretty relaxed, so it wasn't any different in that regard. Unfortunately, DH was on-call for work, which only happens every 6 months... I felt bad it ended up being Father's day weekend, but thankfully no calls Smile Just kind of made us stuck at home in case.

Overall a great day!

ETA: Oh yeah... R started crawling! Wooo!
