Spotting/polyp

Hey all,
I was diagnosed with a cervical polyp around week 6, and was told I may spot throughout pregnancy. I barely have, until this past Friday when I experienced a medium to large amount of brown blood and discharge. The ob saw me within an hour. Did a cervical exam then u/s and LO was all good, thank goodness. She was "reasured it was the polyp."

DH and I left that afternoon for a much needed and long planned romantic getaway, but sadly sex is off the menu: Spotting continues, and while I know it's nothing to worry about, its just so unsettling. Anyone else spotting? Cervical issues? Is on pelvic rest?

    I haven't had this type of issue, but I can imagine it is scary and concerning. At least it sounds like your OB is not worried about other potential issues so the bleeding is explained. I hope this all resolves for you very soon!! Good luck

    Yep, I had/have one. It started bleeding so bad that they thought it was a placental abruption at first. Super scary. My MW cauterized it with silver nitrate and I haven't had any issues since then with it. Just take it easy as much as you can and try to breathe.

    Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm feeling better and being reminded to take it easy is a necessity for me!
