Awww my big girl(s)

We've been telling DD1 about her "big girl bed" for a while now (yup. 3.5 years old and tall as a giant yet she was still in a toddler bed), and while she's been showing some interest, she has also been pretty hesitant about ditching the comfort of her old bed. Well this morning she told me today was the day, so DH and I put it together.

I was afraid she might get cold feet once bed time came, but well, does it look like she did? lol

Also, DD2 threw a fit when we told her she couldn't sleep in her sister's new bed. I guess we'll be putting HER bed together tomorrow. *sigh* My big girls really are getting big.

  • Crap. She fell off her bed. Think I should get her a bed rail? She slept just fine in her toddler bed, so I'm not sure why she fell...

  • The "freedom" of the big bed may take getting used to. My 6 year old niece still falls out of her bed, LOL. A bed rail till she learns the limits of it may not be a bad idea! Or you can put a pool noodle under the fitted sheet as a "bumper".

Or a rolled up blanket under the sheet as a bumper works too. Liam's been falling out of his bed since we took off his rails. I put a line of pillows on the floor. So far, that's kept him from getting injured while falling out. Oh and last week he fell out but stayed asleep. It was so cute and funny to see him laying there on the floor snoozing away.

ETA: she looks so so happy and adorable!!!
