The ergo is a way better choice. The bjorn is not comfortable and it does not hold the baby properly. Google bjorn and hip issues and it should pull up some good articles.
FYI to help with the decision. Baby Bj?rns are no longer sold in parts of Europe due to some considerable concerns about hip displacement. The company has a new model that is based on an ergo-like shape and is under evaluation in those countries.
Through my research about baby carriers, the Bjorn is known as a "crotch dangler", whereas baby's legs are dangling and is literally dangling....similar to straddling something. In the Ergo, the baby's knees are elevated more in a sitting position - better for hips.
I definitely went with the Ergo and didn't even consider the Bjorn.

I have heard good and bad about both so I don't think you can really go wrong with either. The bad Ibhave heard is mostly personal preferance things.
