I need some inspiration on eating healthier! I know most of us are in the middle of the awful morning sickness but anybody have some easy healthy meal or snack ideas?
All I seem to want to eat or even sounds remotely good have been junk food, fast food. I feel like this baby is surviving off of junk! It doesn't help that we just got back from a 2 week vacation where we ate out a lot and DH has been gone for a week so I have zero motivation to cook when its just DD and I.
Re: Healthy Meal Ideas?
One of the few things I have been actually wanting and does not make me nauseous is fruit. I have been eating tons of apples and strawberries.
Also a healthy cereal with milk might be a good option for getting extra calcium and vitamin D.

My fave snack these days is honey Greek yogurt with granola. Mmm Mmm. My 9 yo loves it. And she loves hummus and pita bread (blech, I don't). So we always keep that stuff stocked in the house.
Other than that, I don't know how healthy my recipes are. I cook with a lot of wine .... it gives everything such a yummy flavor, IMO. I can give you some easy, go-to recipes, but don't know that they're healthy.

Grilled chicken is a good healthy option and you can make a bunch at once then "repurpose" it in different meals throughout the week. Which I find nice when I don't feel like cooking. For example, you could do cold or warm grilled chicken over a salad, Chicken served with a side of rice and sautedspinach w/garlic and olive oil, chicken salad with grapes, Chicken stir fry, etc.
For snacks I've been liking fruit, raw baby carrots with dip, 100 calorie packs of pretzels, and string cheese.
If you give me ideas of what you like or can currently eat. I might be able to think of more ideas.
