VBAC

Newbie intro

Hi! I thought I wouldwait to intro when I was expecting. However, I am getting so excited for my vbac opportunity I just can't wait. I live in Oklahoma and vbac is pretty unheard of in my circle of friends. I changed OBs to a wonderful doc (only one in town that will do a vbac) who has abgreat vbac success rate. I am just excited to learn more and prepare. I just started reading ina mays guide to childbirth. rEALLY wish i would have read it when I was expecting my beautiful DD. I'm still hurt and frustrated by the outcome of her labor, but I'm at peace that it wasn't my failure, but the failure of the care providers I trusted. This is our first month ttc #2,, and I forgot how fun the tww is ;). Sorry for typos, ipad is not message board friendly.

It's amazing the things we learn after a certain birth experience. We truly get wiser and learn so much for how birth can go and how to advocate for ourselves and our babies.  I think you can have absolute confidence that your body knows how to birth, and if given the chance in a supportive situation, it will show you how great it can do.  Is there a local ICAN group where you live?  There are a couple great facebook groups to get a lot of support.

I had a VBAC two years ago and am glad you will be pursuing one!

  • Welcome to the board. I vbaced 4 months ago, it was an amazing, healing experience.

I am glad you found a supportive provider, that can be difficult. I wish you the best of luck.
  • Welcome!
