Bug spray

We're going camping (cabins, not tents) in Tennessee next month for my sister's wedding. So I need some bug spray for LO.

Has anybody researched bug spray yet? I'm kind of hippie-ish, so prefer natural brands, I want to find something DEET-free because I don't want baby ingesting it when he sucks on his hands/feet.

My pedi said we can use anything as long as its deet free...curious to see what you find cause I haven't done enough research yet! I'll be stalking this thread.

I used a natural lavender spray when I was pregnant last year. When I looked at the ingredients: lavender essential oil and grain alcohol, lol! It worked really well. There has to be a recipe online somewhere. My second thought is that they now have stickers you can put on their clothing that have repellant in them I'd put it on LO's back, but I'm not sure how effective those are. You could also ask on the natural parenting board.

Avon "Skin So Soft" works great, and they have bugspray in combo with suntan lotion. I used it last summer when prego and camping

I have the off clip ons. Also, I picked up this bug repellent by california baby, but haven't yet used it.

We use the California Baby. Pretty good so far. No bites the few times we've used it.

I bought a bottle of baby ganics or something like that for our vacation. I'll let you know how it works when I get back. It is deet free.

I haven't looked into it yet, but if you search the Honest Company, they have a lot of natural stuff and I think they have bug spray as well. I have only bought the diapers and wipes and love them!
On another note, I'm a Tennesseean so I hope y'all have fun camping out here!! FWIW: It's getting pretty warm in Middle Tn right now [8595 degrees]

We use Bug Soother by Simply Soothing. DEET free, and also reasonable prices. And I like the smell too

We have some called Skedattle. I'm not sure where you get it - I got it through a friend who was ordering in bulk. It's DEET free, kid & pet safe, etc.

My pedi said anything with 10 percent or less DEET and not to spray it all over him, just a little here and there. He recommended spraying clothes instead of skin if possible.
