When baby is too big for PNP

When baby is too big for PNP

We just got back from our trip and Ashley is the same length as her PNP. We are traveling again in about 2 months. I don't bed share so what else can she sleep in that is safe but will work for a bigger baby?

Re: When baby is too big for PNP

  • Aren't pnp's like 3-4 feet? Or do you mean the width? I plan to use it for a while. O isn't very tall so I don't have that problem yet, but when she does get taller, I guess I'll just try to put her long ways, if that makes sense. And if she falls asleep the other way, I'll just move her once she's asleep. I don't really know what I'm going to do after she grows out of it. Sorry, I wasn't much help.

  • I bought one of those smaller pac n plays (the kind that can fit through a doorway) We used it when she was a newborn but now we never use it except when we travel. If I buy a bigger play yard I wonder how much I will actually use it. I hate to spend the money if its just going to sit in the closet most of the year. ugh!

  • They have pretty cheap regular pnp's, without all the bells and whistles. Something like this:

Or what about Craigslist or a consignment shop or yard sale, if you're worried you're not going to use it much.

  • We got a really nice one on CL for 50 with vibration, changing table thing, bassinet. Obviously he doesn't use those things anymore, but they'll be nice for the next baby.

Oh yeah we got the most basic PnP. It did have the bassinet, which we didn't use, but nothing else. It was 60 dollars on sale at Target.

I guess I am going to look for something basic like that. Thanks girls
