I am by no means "showing" yet but the blump was just getting too much to stuff into the few pairs of shorts I could wear after having DS. Today I finally decided to try on a pair of maternity shorts and I am so happy to be comfortable and not have to unbutton my shorts when I sit. No real point to this but has anyone else given in to the maternity/stretchy clothing yet?

Re: Broke down and took out some maternity wear
I did!!! I couldn't take the blump anymore... I am smaller, so when I tried to get the next size up in jeans/shorts/dress pants, they were all too big in the hips and butt! I looked so frumpy!!!
My boyfriend and my mom found some really cute stuff for me at old navy- it fits so well, and really does hide the blump! I feel normally (until I touch my belly) hahaha
Yeah. :
I'm in maternity capris today. Boo.

Haven't needed to yet but my last pregnancy I was in maternity wear by 9 weeks. I love maternity clothes. I wish it was socially acceptable to always wear elastic waist pants

Umm I never reallly stopped after DS was born...
He was only born 9 months ago and I was still trying to lose 10 of the extra 20lbs I had gained with him. But that means I was still in transition clothes. I could fit some of my normal wardrobe and my fat wardrobe was getting a little big, but now I'm glad I was still wearing that stuff bc it doesn't seem suspicious that I am wearing all this loose clothing!
i had just started fitting back into most of my clothes after DS and now they are all getting too tight again. Luckily I do have my maternity and transition clothes still very handy.

THIS! Who needs a freaking button and zipper?
Yep! 9 weeks 5 days here, and I wore my first pair of maternity pants yesterday. I might have succumbed earlier but wanted to wait until my u/s this week.
DH is jealous and wishes they made paternity wear so he wouldn't have to deal with zippers and buttons either.
I gave in too. My bloat is way worse than with my first. My bloated belly is soooo happy now.
yes. I was never a fan.
Wearing a pair of maternity capris to work today. I find that the elastic waist hides the blump and I am just so much more comfortable, especially after lunch!
I am looking forward to the school year being done (ugh, not until the 26th) and not having to look nice everyday!
