Broke down and took out some maternity wear

I am by no means "showing" yet but the blump was just getting too much to stuff into the few pairs of shorts I could wear after having DS.  Today I finally decided to try on a pair of maternity shorts and I am so happy to be comfortable and not have to unbutton my shorts when I sit. No real point to this but has anyone else given in to the maternity/stretchy clothing yet?

I did!!! I couldn't take the blump anymore... I am smaller, so when I tried to get the next size up in jeans/shorts/dress pants, they were all too big in the hips and butt! I looked so frumpy!!!

My boyfriend and my mom found some really cute stuff for me at old navy- it fits so well, and really does hide the blump!  I feel normally (until I touch my belly) hahaha

  • I have them ready for whenever it becomes necessary. :)
  • Yeah. :

I'm in maternity capris today. Boo.

  • I have one pair someone gave me. I'm going shopping today to buy more. It's time to be comfortable.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I broke down today. It is casual Friday at work, which means I get to wear jeans, however, I'm quite certain that none of my pre-pregnancy ones will fit (at least not comfortably) so maternity jeans it is :)

  • Umm I never reallly stopped after DS was born...

He was only born 9 months ago and I was still trying to lose 10 of the extra 20lbs I had gained with him. But that means I was still in transition clothes. I could fit some of my normal wardrobe and my fat wardrobe was getting a little big, but now I'm glad I was still wearing that stuff bc it doesn't seem suspicious that I am wearing all this loose clothing!

i had just started fitting back into most of my clothes after DS and now they are all getting too tight again.  Luckily I do have my maternity and transition clothes still very handy.

  • I've started taking out my maternity tank tops and shorts. The bloat by the end of the day is way too uncomfortable to still be in regular clothes.

Yep! 9 weeks 5 days here, and I wore my first pair of maternity pants yesterday. I might have succumbed earlier but wanted to wait until my u/s this week.

DH is jealous and wishes they made paternity wear so he wouldn't have to deal with zippers and buttons either.

  • I gave in too. My bloat is way worse than with my first. My bloated belly is soooo happy now.

yes. I was never a fan.

Wearing a pair of maternity capris to work today. I find that the elastic waist hides the blump and I am just so much more comfortable, especially after lunch!

I am looking forward to the school year being done (ugh, not until the 26th) and not having to look nice everyday!

  • I've been trying to put it off, because it just feels too early in my mind; but my friend leant me a skirt that I put on today... Oh. My.! I think I might cave soon! So much comfier! I also think I look way bigger in them though, so I'll have to get some strategic shirts and/or sweaters to help hide the blump.
