I didn't realize you could get them so early in the pregnancy, but I definitely had one the other night. It came on quite suddenly and lasted about 10 minutes or so, but went away when I turned on my side. It was really uncomfortable! Like I had menstrual cramps and they wouldn't quit.
I think that firmed up for me that I will definitely be getting an epidural. Not that I was doubting that I would but I was going to see how long I could hold out before asking for it. Yeah, probably not for very long.
Re: Braxton Hicks
I know!!!! I can't believe it either. Thanks Joi for always checking in on us over here
I cannot figure what is RLP, Braxton Hicks, or just growth contractions. I've had a stinging pain in a vertical 4" line to the left of my belly button for a week now. My MFM said it is a growth contraction. Yay me. I have a lot of aches and pains from growing so quickly. Doctors said only to worry if it doesn't go away after drinking water, eating, and resting / lying down and comes at regular intervals for an extended period of time.
I had already planned on an epidural and saw no need to wait on it.
That's what this was but it was much stronger than regular menstrual cramps and my uterus got really hard. One of the girls on my FB group said that is what happens so that is why I thought it was BH. I haven't had much RLP yet, I guess I don't really know what that is supposed to feel like either.
All I know is that I am hoping the stage where I throw up and pee my pants at the same time is almost over. My underpants can't take it anymore
Oh man, that happened to me one time and my sister said, "I can't believe it hasn't happened before now!" Bad enough throwing up, even worse peeing yourself!
I have had TONS of RLP and sometimes what feels like light menstrual cramps. There are times my tummy gets hard. I get bad gas pains sometimes too. It's a trip trying to keep it all straight in your head, that's for sure. And I will def be getting an epidural as well. I knew that after feeling contractions when they tried to induce my miscarriage, unsuccessfully. I've had enough pain for one lifetime.
Oh no! You are still getting sick? Sorry to tell you that the wetting yourself does not get better. I have had a cold this past week and had to clench every time I sneezed, blew my nose, or coughed. Sadly, it did not always work.
