Hi ladies, I'm expecting my first, am 12 weeks pregnant, and would love to connect with other expecting moms in Ridgefield and area, as we're new to the area. Are there any nice expectant mommie groups I can join?
You might meet some great people through the classes and support at the birthing center across from Danbury Hospital, if you're interested in seeking care there. The midwives are amazing, I would recommend it to anyone, especially anyone local
Hello! I came across your post and am hoping you can help guide me. :-) I live in Ridgefield and am 7 weeks pregnant with my first. I would also love to connect with other expecting moms in Ridgefield as we're fairly new to the area. Any luck with the nice expectant mommy groups?
Hi Jenmonzon- We live close to each other! I'm over on New street by Ballard Park! My husband and I are also expecting our first. We seem to be pretty close in due date! Congratulations!
Haha i think I know where abouts you are ! Are you by the house that does the crazy Halloween decorations outside ? Welcome to ridgefield , congrats in your new addition coming . I have another ultrasound on Monday , had my first last week - saw the gestational sac and two little white dots , what they think could be the fetal tube and yolk sac. They said it's too early to tell, to let baby grow and come back in a week.
Ah the crazy Halloween house, yes we know it well! No one told us New street was a hot street on Halloween before we moved in. We went through 4 huge bags of candy in an hour! I hope the ultrasound went well. We also had one last Friday and the baby was moving around- looked like it was dancing! Feel free to email me off the bump site. I found some good meet up groups I was thinking of checking out. Tiffanyjill@gmail.com.
Hi Tiffany , Well... I'm out :-( US didn't go well... Confirmed a miscarriage. I had a "missed miscarriage" , my body still thought I was pregnant and growing the sac but the sac wasn't developing anything ( no fetal pole, no yolk sac, no fetus) . I had a medically induced miscarriage this weekend... Looking foreword to the end of this miscarriage and to start over ASAP.
That is great news that you saw your little nugget moving around ! How exciting ! I wish you the best :-) keep in touch ! Jen.moss11@gmail.com -Jenny
I'm in the New Fairfield area, 23 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow with our first! We moved a little over a year ago to the area and have been having a simliar situation. I would love to meet new people, especially new parents but unfortunately the placement of our house is on a main road and up a private shared driveway and our neighbors are tough to connect with.
I actually am in the process of switching to the birthing center in Danbury! I can't wait! My doctor was not supportive or encouraging at all. They have a lot of information about local classes and I've found a bunch of prenatal yoga classes if you want to message me privately for all the info. If you want, I would love to start a group, maybe we can start our own somewhere in between in Danbury.
@jenmonzon - I am so sorry to hear about your loss but I really apprecaite your positivity and your drive to start again ASAP. Many would dwell and have a hard time moving on. I wish you all the best and I hope that you have your lil nugget soon!
@PaoPao820 - I delivered with the midwives from the birthing center at the hospital and they are incredible! My best friend also actually delivered at the center. Good luck!
Re: Expecting 1st baby, moving to Ridgefield- any local groups?
I'm 30 years old, 17 weeks with my first, and have lived in CT for 4 or 5 years.
Where did you move from? What brings you to CT?
My hubby and I have been living here for 4 years. Over by the high school area
