Lovenox Ladies, Question

Do any of you wear a med alert bracelet?  I used to when I was on coumadin and I just realized I might need to now that I'm on nightly lovenox shots for the next year. Thoughts? I need to call the doctor about it but figured I'd ask as well.

Me: 31 * DH: 33 * TTC since Sept 2012
Hx of Pulmonary Embolisms, Right Sided Heart Failure and Nephrotic Syndrome 2001
Dx w/ Hashimotos 1998 * Dx w/ Systemic Lupus 2005 * Dx w/ PCOS 2012
Began working with RE Dec 2012February 2013: Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel  BFP # 1: 2/26/13 * EDD 11/9/13 * MMC at 7w5d -- 3/27/13 * D&C 3/28/13May 2013: Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel + PIO + Lovenox  BFP # 2: 6/6/13 * EDD 2/18/14 * MMC at 11w1d -- 7/31/13 * D&C 8/1/13RPL Testing & Karotyping was normal for both of usEmbryo testing was inconclusiveBenched July 2013- January 2014 due to Lupus FlareWTF appt 2/12/14IVF is OUT and Clomid + Ovidrel + Endometrium is in...     I wear one for other things so if I was to have a problem they would call and know. If you are going to be on it for a year it's not a bad idea as if you are in an accident it can be dangerous on Lovenox as its not like heparin where they can reverse it.

    Ok, good to know. I guess I didn't realize it wasn't reversible. I am definitely getting one then.  Thanks!

    I don't, didn't with DS, and didn't for the 6 months I was on Coumadin.  It isn't a bad idea though.

    I bought one at about 25 weeks, after an oncoming driver wove into my lane and I very narrowly missed being in what would have been a devistating accident. Not my fault at all, but the rest of the day I kept thinking "had not been 100% concentrating on the road, had I even been adjusting the radio, I would be in the hospital right now. And if I was unconscious when the paramedics arrived, they'd have no idea I had Lovenox in my system, how much, or when my last shot was." I ordered a little heart shaped pendant from HopePaige the next day.

    Mine says "PREGNANT & ON BLOOD THINNERS. SEE ID & CALL (husband's cell phone #)" I put the pregnant part in because I didn't really start to show until almost 30 weeks and I want any EMTs to know I'm not the only injured party, and I'll only be using the medicines during pregnancy, so I can start wearing it at the very beginning next time. I said blood thinners instead of Lovenox because I knew I'd be switching to heparin. I printed out a free wallet medical card with both my OB & MFM doctors and their info, my husband's info, and all of the medicines I take, and it's in my wallet behind my ID card. I switch to heparin this week so I'll update the card to reflect the new medicine and dosage. It's a very small price to pay for peace of mind, in my opinion, but I don't think most people who take Lovenox during pregnancy get one.

    I do.  Mine states "high risk pregnancy, Lovenox, aspirin" and gives DH phone number.  I got it from a website called 'n-styleid.com,' they had lots of options.  

      

     

    TTC #1 12/2009
    BFP #1 1/2010, M/C 6 weeks
    BFP #2 6/2010, DD lost to     congenital heart disease, we are heartbroken.

    TTC #2 4/2011, diagnosed MTHFR, FVL
    Four natural cycles BFN; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;
    1/2012 IVF #1 BFN
    4/2012 FET BFP #3
    5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @ 8w.
    6/2012 found Stage II/III endo on laparoscopy, removed w/ laser.
    8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.

    Vacation, break, second opinions, on to new RE.
    1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy BFP #4 (break cycle), IVF #3 postponed.
    2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture gave us a miracle BFP #5!
    Heartbeat on U/S at 6w1d!     Baby,please stay!!
    Our miracle baby boy arrived 10/2013!  We are so in love!!
