I made an appointment with my primary doctor this morning when I woke up feeling even worse then before.  Turns out I have pneumonia, or at least that's what they believe from listening to my lungs.  They gave me a prescription for a z-pack. 

I didn't think to ask them, so thought I'd get your take.  Would you let your OB know, just a heads-up kind of thing, or just assume they don't really need that info?

    I took a zpack while pregnant. I would just give them a heads up at your next appointment. I went to my ob for everything while pregnant, that is just how he preferred it. Definitely give them a call if it doesn't clear quickly or have a prolonged fever, they may want to check baby.

    This is what I did when I was pregnant with Emily, as far as I remember,  so that's why I'm unsure of the...protocol, I guess.  I wasn't sure if they would want me to tell them I have pneumonia or if since it's being treated it's not really something they need to know.  I knew the zpack was OK...I asked the doc and the pharmacist and both said it was fine.  Sorry, I know my OP was a little vague.
