Happy Friday ladies! I wanted to share a song with you - I am singing it on Sunday at church and I just felt like it was really uplifting and I found that it's brought me some comfort in the midst of having another loss and all the emotions that come with it.

That is so cool that you sing also! Do you guys have a band/choir/solo stuff? We have a praise band and I really love that feel. I am a little nervous about singing this b/c I feel like it's one of those can choke me up so hopefully I can make it through.

That is so cool that we have that in common. We have a choir at 11AM, but I sing with the praise band at 9AM. I love it too and feel more comfortable singing that style. Don't be nervous(easy to say, but I get nervous when I sing solos too). I'll be praying for strength for you on Sunday. (hugs) friend!

Thanks for sharing this song! I've never heard it before. I wish I could sing:(, but I do play the piano.
One of my favorite songs to listen to right now is Center of It by Chris August.
Good luck Sunday. I'm sure you'll do beautifully!
ha. I wish I could play the piano!!
Center Of It is a great song. "Worn" by Tenth Avenue North is the one that has been tugging at my heart lately.

Worn is the song that could always bring me to tears. It was almost my daily prayer for some comfort and asking God to please help me see the light at the end of the tunnel. It has only been recently that I can listen to it and not cry. It really pulled at my heart for a while.
It really speaks to me and often I still tear up during it. I ironic thing for me is that it was written inspired by the fatigue of new parents who's baby was not yet sleeping through the night, but yet it can apply to so many things including the loss of a baby and the feeling of being emotionally worn. It is just such a beautiful message.

It really is a beautiful message and it usually got all the tears out before I started each shift in the NICU. I felt like it was a cruel joke that I would mc as I was starting a new job in a NICU of all places. I feel those first few months is when it spoke to me the most. Now I can see it applying to all the people in my community and the neighboring community of Moore while all the people try to pick up the pieces and start to put their lives back together.
