How to ask an awkward question.

Ok so I have a friend that I actually met through purr has a 6mo that we have play dates with frequently. I really like her and her son is an absolute doll. But... Today she shared a page called "the truth about vaccines". Needless to say it was all about not vaccinating. I thought she vacced, but then she posted this link. How do we ask her without making it a big thing? Because personally I don't want Keith around a baby that hasn't been vaccinated?

  • I wouldn't worry about seeming rude, or anything. It is about the health of your baby. Just flat out ask. "Hey i saw you posted this. Do you vacc?"

  • Yep, I'd flat out ask. Kids aren't fully vaxed until they've received the entire panel, which most of our LOs have not. No vaccines = no play date, in my book.

    Glass half full? Maybe she's just supportive of an alternate schedule?

  • If you're unsure there really is only one way to know.  And embarrassment is not a good enough reason to put your LO at risk.  I would want to know.  There are certain things that DD isn't old enough to be vacced for yet, and I would just want to make sure she isn't being exposed to anything.

    I would also assume they don't vacc.nbsp;Also, if she's posting stuff like that on FB she's obviously open to talking about it. I feel like her posting that just eliminated a lot of the awkwardness for you."Hey, I saw what you posted on FB..that's interesting, blahblahblah"nbsp;

    All of this. Just ask.
