you use pads?

I hate wearing pads. The 6 weeks post partum were awful and I never wanna use pads again. I feel so icky and leaky and dirty with pads.A friend of mine just told me she only uses pads during AF. I thought mostly everyone used tampons and used pads only really for overnight or extra protection kinda thing.Or for really young girls just getting their period.

Do any of you use pads regularly instead of tampons?

I only use pads. Tampons for swimming, obviously. Pads have never really bothered me.

Yes. Until I got married and lost my V card, I could not get a tampon in. So much pain. So. Much. Pain. After that, they went in with no problem but I have really heavy periods, so I was having to change them every 30 minutes or else I'd bleed through everything. Ain't nobody got time for that! Pads give me a lot more coverage, especially at night, and I feel more protected.

Those scared me at first because I went to change it and I saw hardly anything and I was like, "WTF?" until I realized the absorption is different and so much better.

Before having a baby, I had heavy periods and would use a tampon, with a pad for backup. Now that I am on BCP, my periods are much lighter (thank goodness!), and I only wear a tampon at night "just in case," and stick with pads during the day.

I only used pads up until I lost my virginity, because I couldn't get a tampon in, no matter how many times I tried.

You think exactly the way I do about this. I always used tampons, even most of the time when I first got AF as a girl. My first period was smack dab in the middle of summer and goshdarn I was gonna go swimming! The few months pp were awful wearing pads. I felt smelly and unclean. I also ruined half a dozen pairs of underwear in a matter of weeks, something that hadnt happened since I was like 12. What sucks is that now, sometimes my AF is so light I can't use tampons, so I'm using pantiliners. Luckily, AF is only lasting like 3 days with my IUD.

I do not use pads. I prefer tampons. I also don't like the blood everywhere down there feeling. Especially when its hot outside.

A lot of my friends are using the Diva cup. I hear its pretty awesome. And you only have to clean it like twice a day. I just can't imagine putting it up there. But I'm not closed off to the idea.

Since having the boys my periods are much heavier. I usually use a tampon and a panty liner.

Just pads makes me paranoid because I always feel like I'm leaking.

In high school all I used were pads. I couldn't get a tampon in at all. They never grossed me out!
After I had sex I could get tampons in but they've never sat comfortably in there. 70 percent of the time I use a pad. The only times I really use a tampon is for swimming and running.

I wore pads until my jr. yr of HS. Now only pads. My sister still wears pads though. I bought 2 of the huge boxes of Always Infinity for postpartum but only had light spotting so I ended up giving the boxes to my sister

Never. When I had to wear pads after having DD I was so pissed. I always feel stinky and dirty with them.

I have always been a tampon girl. But with these ridiculous pp/iud periods, I soak through them so fast, it isn't even worth wearing them, even the super ones. I wear pads the first few days then move to tampons if I can.

I do prefer tampons but since having my IUD, I've had to wear both at the same time because I'm so heavy! I will only wear pads to bed though. I do not feel comfortable going to bed wearing a tampon.

I got AF when I was 12 and always used pads until I was 16. My mom and older sister always use/used pads. Now I use pads like 75% of the time. I agree its gross to have blood all sitting on your vag, especially when its hot but I don't really like the feeling of tampons.

I use a tampon with a pad as backup. Until I was in college I had rarely used tampons, my mom wasn't big on them, so I was never really introduced to them. Now, I feel very dirty when I don't use a tampon, like overnight. I don't feel comfortable wearing a tampon to bed either.
