So I posted awhile back about my future SIL ...and this house were living in... Update she has yet to make one single repair !! And yes with we are looking to move ASAP !!

But in the mean time DF is really pissing me off !! We still don't have air she bought window units but they are still in the box she figured we could just put them in ourselves as if we are elstricians any I own a restaurant and working the HOT kitchen all day. Yesterday we were dumb stupid busy and I didn't get to rest at all so needles to say when I got home to out HOT house all I could do was shower and go to bed ....he was supposed to clean the house yesterday because he goes to work at 12 I go in at 8:30. You guessed it he didn't do crap !!

This morning I decided to come in to work early and prep I'm 24 weeks and moving like molasses he stormed out of house like a 2 year old because I wasn't staying home to help him clean the house !!!

I was on my feet 14 hours yesterday, barely sleep because he was snoring and rolling all over the bed. And you were supposed to do it , and I know this is probably mean but it's true ...I work longer than him and make more than him so for once he can clean up !!!

    I don't think you need to be an electrician to install a window a/c unit. The ones I've had in the past, you just fit them in the window and plug them in.

    Dear Fiance?

     

    Sounds like you need to delegate some of your work duties to accommodate your new life. 

    Also, a window unit does not require any electrical experience to install.  It literally sits on the window sill and is held in place by the window.  Then you plug the chord into the wall outlet and turn that sucker on.  Don't come home to a hot house again!

    The house is super old ...all of the the plugs are two prong not 3 additional the units are 240 not 110 so the electrical box is not strong enough to handle.

    I generally do delegate but when it's your business you have to do what you have to ... I'm not a FTM I have 3 other children so I'm not new to this.

    Basically I'm not going to work all day and come home and clean the house too while you sleep in and lay on couch and watch Netflix

    Why would she buy these for you then?  If the wiring in your house won't support the voltage, you are basically looking at rewiring the entire house.

    Oh geez, that sucks. So those units are basically useless unless she's planning to rewire your whole house.

    LOL!!  I told you my DH gives me lessons on things I don't want to know.  Voltage and electricity travel rates are one of those things.

    Exactly !!! They bought the house together he put the money down she was supposed to fix it up ....the house sat for a year then we moved in an made half the repairs 4,000 worth she was supposed to do the rest.
    I honestly think she is not doing *** I'm the hopes of us just getting frustrated and doing it. We have both agreed not to spend another dime !!!

    SIDENOTE: I guess he got the message he cleaned the house today and cleaned it they way I would !!!
