Ok, it's official. DH can not use condoms. This is our first cycle off BCP and we'd like to wait 5 months before we actively begin TTC. So I picked up the condoms he asked for and it was 10 mins before we got rid of it. Apparently DH can't feel anything.
Soooo ladies, anyone have good recommendations for alternatives? I've never known anything other than condoms and BCP. We'd like to begin natural family planning - but since this if my first cycle I have no clue if I'm even going to ovulate. I have been temping and charting, but it's pretty new and I'm kind of bummed that the condoms aren't working out.
We need to figure something out otherwise we'll be pregnant a bit sooner than we planned for.
Re: TTA - Off BCP - Alternatives to Condoms?
Well, normally I'd say just be really careful about your charting. But obviously if you're just starting out you're going to need another method until you start seeing some patterns. What about a diaphragm? I've never used one, but it seems like it might work.
I was SO going to say that.
Exactly what I was thinking...
Oh, like can't feel anything because of the condom. I thinking that he was allergic and made everything numb down there.
Well, as Blair has stated (as well as pp), "No glove, no love."
Me to
uh, well I am in the no glov eno love camp. Durex were always thinner for us...and while MH didnt LOVE using it ( frankly neither did I ) we made do after I had to get off hormonal BC and had not gotten the hang of charting yet...GL!
Yeah, well, I have to "believe" my husband, even if I think it's psychological, right?
I'll look into the diaphragm option. And hopefully I'll be able to implement the NFP/abstinence method when I can determine I'm fertile.
Thanks, gals.
