Pregnant after a Loss

Normal right?

Stupid PgAL brain is getting the better of me today. For the last few days I've noticed some menstrual like cramping on and off. It feels pretty much the same as the cramping I had in the first few weeks of pregnancy. The logical side of me says "this is normal stretchy cramps at 14 weeks and just take it easy and drink lots of water", but the PgAL side of my brain has me rushing to get the doppler out. Remind me that light cramping in the early second trimester without any bleeding is normal please, right?!

  • Lurking

What you described sounds normal to me. The Ute grows a lot in second and third tri. RLP could be starting up as well. For me it started at 13w and was usually a sharper pulling sensation, especially when I'd move suddenly or sneeze.

  • Totally normal. I had lots of that in early 2nd tri, then RLP started a few weeks later. Combined with gas pains, I feel like there's almost always some kind of twinging or aching going on. As long as it's not persistent or really really painful, I try not to worry about it.

I've had lots of cramping throughout my pregnancy, especially early on. I had AF like cramps the other day (I'm 30 weeks) and when I saw my OB, the first thing he asked was "were you on your feet alot?" I had been, so he told me when it happens to make sure I drink lots of water and rest. He said not to be worried unless there's bleeding with the cramps or they become rhythmic. Your body (ute and pelvic muscles especially) are going through alot of growing and stretching right now! ((HUGS)) and I hope it goes away!
