Help, I need ideas....

Hello ladies I know I have been MIA but, I have a question.  My BIL had a heart attack which in turn they had to shock him 7 times, a medically induced coma, and a long road ahead of him.  The sad thing is he is only 41 and this is not his first heart attack.  My sister has 4 little ones and is a total wreck.  I live 10 hours away from them so it's not easy to just jump in the car and help out.  My question is what can I do (from a distance) to help out.  Any ideas for a gift basket?  Or anything to help them out?  Thanks ladies you guys are the best.

    That's awful! Hope he recovers quickly!

    I would maybe do some new toys or DVDs for the kids to help distract them and then either some freezer meals or gift cards to a place that delivers.

    I am so sorry.  I think the things that she would appreciate the most would be meals and toys/crafts to entertain the kids.  In my area they have something called  my secret pantry.  They make all kinds of meals and will deliver them.  I am not sure what the cost is but I know they do bulk meals (like a weeks worth).  You may want to see if something like that is available in her area. I hope your BIL makes a full recovery.  I am praying for him.

    Oh no! That's awful : TnPs for your family!! Prepping a bunch of freezer crockpot meals, dream dinner delivery if that's out there cleaning service, babysit for a day here and there, go out and stay the weekend to help out if that's an option?

    I'm sorry that happened. I think maid service is a great idea! Also, gift cards or food delivery orders.

    oh that's so scary and awful!! I hope he will be ok and recovers quickly. I agree with the others, food or a cleaning service would be really nice.

    Thank you ladies.  Great ideas.  I am looking into a place that will deliver her some meals.  Paying for daycare is also an option but, quite expensive.    My husband and I are going to get some gift cards this evening.
