Had our first one in public today... We've had two or three at home.

so I was coming back from dropping little sis off at the airport and since DD started fussing and we were near the store stopped. I changed her in the back of the car... Super wet, and a little in the other department... Was kind of expecting more [which should have been a clue]. She's still a little fussy so I decide to carry her and push the stroller and use it as a cart.

I'm getting my last item off the shelf when I can hear and feel some pretty major activity going on in the diaper. No problem, we'll check out and change again when I get back to the car. Except a few seconds later I feel warmth... Yup... Up and out the back of the diaper. Onsie is ruined, and I've got it on me as well.

We high tail it to the restroom and I realize that I left her change pad in the car. So I take off my shirt so poor little girl has something under her head and proceed with clean up. I pick her up to wipe down her back and pray hard that she doesn't pee... No such luck... Sigh... We walked out with me in my tank, which doesn't cover my nursing bra and neither is hiding the nursing pads.

DD is still pretty upset and I know she's hungry, so I calm her down a bit, pop the hood on my suv, and sit it the back and nurse her. I must have been a sight, but I just didn't care.

there is now an extra top for me in the diaper bag, and I might stash an extra back up in the car somewhere too... Yikes!!

Oh my goodness. I don't have a story to share, but thanks for reminding me to pack an extra outfit when we go out!

Wow! Sounds like you had an eventful day at the store. That stinks!

Mine isn't nearly as good, but J blew out her diaper this Sunday... at church... in her baptismal gown... which is almost 60 years old and a family heirloom. She did have the decency to wait until pictures were over. My mom said she got the stains out, too.

we have that event coming up soon. Glad the stains came out

My friend had her 1 year birthday party for her daughter. We were going to stop by that party and immediately leave for my nephew's first birthday party in a city 1.5 hours away.

We get DD dressed up in the CUTEST fall outfit we have. DH goes and takes her out of the carseat and I look over and he has poo all over his north face fleece (he was totally unaware). I run into the party, let them know what happened, and proceed to bathe DD with diaper wipes in the trunk of our SUV in the middle of November. There is poo EVERYWHERE. It is all over the carseat, her clothes, and DH's fleece.

I have to do a load of laundry at the party in order to get her ready for our nephew's party. The car seat insert would be unable to be used if I wouldn't have washed and dried it.

I was so embarrassed!! Everyone totally was understanding, but I had never met most of them before and looked like the most frazzled mother on the planet.

oh yeah shes gotten it on me a few times too...

we were at a 9th Avenue festival in NY and she started screaming in the carriage... i was waiting for her bottle to be warmed by a bar generous enough to let us use their hot water lol... we went to their bathroom and i swear it was about an inch from the back of her neck! and up to her bellybutton in the front... the bathroom was so small we had to change her in the hallway outside and shaun is feeding her while im changing her...

these always happen when we are in a very inconvenient place!

ETA: FYI, nothing is ruined if you use Shout on the stains!

yeah, I was so glad I was holding DD instead of her sitting in the car seat. Glad you had access to what you needed to clean everyone up!!

The only blowout we had was when we were traveling and DD was in a disposable. DH and I were at a wedding and BIL and SIL were babysitting for us, so I only got to hear about the epicness
