I have a doctor's appointment on Monday where I'll bring this up, but in the mean time I was just wondering if anyone here has experienced this or knows what might be the cause.
About a week and a half ago, I just got off the train and was walking to work and I got a very sudden sharp pain in my lower back. It didn't last long, maybe 2 seconds tops, but man was it sharp. For that second or so, it made me hold my breath and feel very stiff. It happened a couple more times, but then stopped and I didn't have any issues with it and I ended up forgetting about it.
Then tonight, I noticed it again after I got up to do the dishes. It was exactly the same- super sharp pain in my lower back (spread across the middle I'd say, not concentrated on one side). Again, it didn't last long at all. I had the pain on and off for maybe just a a minute or two, and the pain itself only lasted a second or two. I tried to see if maybe it was the way I was standing, or needed to stretch, but nothing really seemed to affect it.
Any ideas what this could be, and is it "normal?" Pinched nerve? Baby kicking something weird? Back out of alignment? Maybe even just simple dehydration (though I think I was ok on water)? It definitely doesn't feel like a pulled muscle and there's no residual pain. With both times it happened, it's not like I had been standing for a long period of time either. Totally stumped.
