C section scheduled

It's scheduled for next Thursday. I'm nervous and of course I hope making the right choice. I assumed I'd have a vaginal labor but since he has measured large my whole pregnancy, is still not engaged and I've have had too much fluid...this seems like the healthiest decision for the baby and I. You can't help but be nervous though.

    Good luck! I had a csection after being induced. LO was too big to descend. It's major surgery and normal to be nervous! Give yourself time to recover
    And take the pain meds!

    Good luck.  It is nerve wracking and I've cried (for different reasons) before both of my c/s.

    Like PP said, take your pain meds even if you feel like you don't need to. Don't try to be tough. It will catch up with you. Good luck!

    Good luck!! The only thing that I wish I had changed from my experience was to turn visitors away that second day so I could've spent more time up walking. Those gas pains were no joke. But otherwise, everything else is manageable, and definitely gets better in time!! And once you're home, slow and steady is definitely the way to go when trying to get back into the swing of things!

    I'm in this same situation too - I found out today at my 40 wk appt that I'm having a c-section on Friday due to a large baby and excessive fluid levels.  I'm really nervous about it, but it's whats best for the baby.  Good luck!!

    Good luck! I'm happy and jealous that you get to hold your LO in a week. Don't worry about whether the choice is right or wrong, it's been made by you and your health care team for certain reasons so just go with it. 

    I've had 2 c sections and have my 3rd scheduled for Aug and am nervous too even though I've done it before.

    I'm 34 weeks and baby is huge and our csection is scheduled for July 24th! This is my 2nd and I'm still a little nervous!
