    It's been a long road to here...
    Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!
    June'12 - First RE Visit
    Sept. '12 - Tubes removed
    Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
    Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
    Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
    Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. :(
    Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
    Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
    Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
    Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
    EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
    Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
    We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    Also a thought, if you are willing to be interviewed on camera, local media love these stories as well!  I work at a TV station and since DP and I are expecting our (first) baby August 13th, and Minnesota just legalized marriage, which will go into effect August 1st, they have done two stories on us (before the bill passed and after) and will be following up with us (like going with to pick out clothes for the wedding, etc) and will possibly be there when we get married at midnight on August 1st.  It is a very visual story, which is pretty important.  Anyway, if you don't go to the TV stations good luck on everything!  Maybe you will be the start of a pool revolution!  =D

     I wrote a letter to the pool people. I know it was a little late but I figured it may help. I hate to "fight dirty" but you may want to let the pool folks know that you are reaching out to the media...

    You might also want to contact Get Equal Ohio, I know they are on Facebook.  They are an equal rights group and good at getting the media involved.  Stonewall Columbus, might also be able to get you in touch with other people too.

It's actions like these that have led to law and policy change all over the country.  I'm super proud of you for having the guts and gumption to fight for that change.     Not to seem like a total creeper but my DH works in Troy and we live just a few mins south. It makes me incredibly sad to see how backwards this part of Ohio can be. After reading this we will stick to our other summer fun options and ill be sure to let others know why.

    Well thank you so much for the support. I moved to Troy from a tiny little town called Fort Loramie (i'm sure you may have heard of it, being local). I really thought that by moving to a larger town that was more diverse that I wouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing.

    We are not boycotting the pool, for the simple fact that my daughters love it. They dont understand what is going on, because to them we are a normal family. I dont want the disrespect of others impeding their happiness.

    It really isn't even about the pool pass anymore, It's about something much bigger. Shedding light on a small issue, will hopefully open people's eyes to the larger problem!

    High Five to all of you ladies taking a stance!! Its amazing to see everyone jumping on board to help you bring light on to this matter. Hoping it all works out for you :)

    Married in September 2010, started TTC journey November 2012

    Me-

    7 IUI- 2 CP- 2 BFN

    RPL blood work 12/27, showed a balance translocation in chromosome 11;22  

    Spouse-

    PCOS 4 IUI-4 BFN

    New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.
