High-Risk Pregnancy

Re: (Untitled)

  • Good luck at your doctor appointment, do you have just one week left??

It's finally gorgeous outside here, so I already went out and read a couple of chapters of a book.  I slept so well last night, and woke up to no pains in my legs from the babies. They must have moved finally after weeks in a bad spot (for me anyway).  Wow, what a great thing to walk around and sit in chairs without so much pain in my legs... it's a distant memory feeling so good.

I stop my Procardia/Nifedipine tonight and have an MFM appointment tomorrow.  Life is feeling good today, and I am going to feel good about that since I know it can change in an instant.

  • Day one of hbr down, hopefully many more to go! Weather outside is beautiful and I have a great view of the local hills, the nurses are super sweet and lenient about visiting hours and my mil is supposed to bring my little guy to visit here in an hour or so, can't wait to see him!
  • In count down mode here - 17 days til 34w, 24 days til 35w.  I'm going to be a momma to outside babies soon!  Just hoping beyond hope that they are both healthy and have minimal NICU time :)

Weather seems ok, but I don't have a great view from my window.  Looking forward to being home where I can open the windows and feel the breeze.

Growth scan tomorrow - FX for less weight discordance!

  • Same boat as CNYBride! Growth scan, bpp, nst tomorrow. 16 days to 34 weeks and 18 days until I'm off BR! Praying for similarsized, headdown, healthy babies tomorrow!

So much to do!! I need to get my "birth plan", which will be very flexible, done today!!!

At the same time, I'm pretty super over this whole bed rest thing. Ha! 70 days down today. 18 days left. Hope you all have a wonderful day with lots of rest, but that tomorrow comes quickly! Keep 'em cooking, ladies!

    Married to my dream husband
Mom to 2 year old BG twins (Incompetant cervix, cerclage, and LOTS of bed rest)
    Pregnant with our next!
  • I'm with CNYBride and MrsCaseyK - 11 days to 34 weeks and growth/fluid/position scan tomorrow. Baby 1 is probably still breech so I am just hoping for acceptable fluid level and similar size babies. These are the things that will let them allow me to keep cooking. My real goal is July 1st - 35 weeks.

Today started out as a down day but I took a nap and it seems better. It's amazing what sleep and ordering lunch from the "special" menu can do to my mood.

    Everything still quiet here.

Started out sunny but has clouded over and expect rain from this afternoon through tomorrow morning.

aiche good luck with your dr appt today!

MyPlus5 - glad to hear you are getting a reprieve :)

  • Doing ok. 25 weeks today so I'm happy to hit that milestone! I'll feel even better after Monday. DS1 was born at 25.4 weeks so I'll be glad to pass that.

Weather is gorgeous here today. I might go sit outside in a lounge chair later.

ETA: I got to see baby moving from the outside yesterday. I never got to see that with my first so it was very exciting!

  • Here's a random question - is anyone else developing a "double chin" on bedrest?? I seem to have developed a double chin, even my neck seems thicker. I am normally very thin and while I've gained more than just baby weight, I'm not swollen anywhere and my arms, upper body, lower legs are all still thin. (I won't mention my upper legs and butt..) I'm just wondering if the face/neck thing is bedrest related. Ok, I'm hoping...

  • Haha, I hear you!  I think this is a pregnancy thing.  I looked back at myself when I was near the end of my pregnancy with my son, and hello!  I didn't realize how big my neck looked.

  • Hi ladies,

Good luck to everyone at your appointments! It's sunny here in Nc but storms are on the way.

Last night I only slept about 4 hours because my heart was beating so hard. I mentioned it to MFM and he said keep an eye on it.... Oohhk! Our appointment didn't go like I'd hoped. Baby B's cord dopplers are more elevated. Therefore he felt I should start steroid injections to be prepared for an elegant delivery. He's not saying that will happen, but twin to twin syndrome is so unpredictable he wants us to be ready. We will recheck on Monday. Just hoping at every appointment everything is so that they can keep baking longer. We'll be 25 weeks on Sunday.

I did the last of my work from home today, now it's just a few minor things as I get phone calls.

We lost power for about 4 hours today due to storms. Of course it happened while dinner was in the oven so my husband switched to PB&J sandwiches for us.
